Responsibilities

  • Oversee the activities of the Events, Promotions and Entertainment.
  • Participates in formulating and administering company policies and developing long-range goals and objectives for the Events & Entertainment as well as the Database Teams.
  • Coordinates and conducts drawings, events such as group activities, community events, promotions, tournaments, parties, booths, giveaways and team member incentives.
  • Helps to manage social media campaigns and day-to-day activities. Duties include online advocacy, making sure online editorials are timely, community outreach efforts, promotions, etc.
  • Reviews and monitors overall reinvestment to ensure that each event, promotion and direct mail campaign is profitable.
  • Analyzes response rates and profit margins of all customer database programs, making adjustments to maximize profitability.
  • Approves and monitors promotion and prizes, including point multiplier strategy and bonus incentives.
  • Contribute to Angel of the Winds’ community outreach presence and ensure Angel of the Winds’ brand and image are upheld through the community outreach efforts by the active participation with local groups, key organizations and events that represent our core customer base.
  • Actively promote Angel of the Winds through public relations by identifying key contacts in the area; develop and foster these relationships to leverage local PR efforts and maximize exposure for on-site and off-site events; actively function as the PR liaison for the company.
  • Assists the marketing team in developing and implanting various marketing strategies, objectives, targets and plans and help develop public relations strategies.
  • Works closely with Analytics team and maintains open communication with other departments.
  • Acts as a contact/liaison with outside organizations with requests for donations.
  • Helps order all event and promotional collateral, proofing all materials for accuracy and completeness.
  • Interacts with team members and management to ensure complete understanding, execution and selling points of all promotions and events.
  • Support the marketing department by helping with editing, proofreading, printing, distributing and processing projects and/or signage.
  • Ensure compliance with Tribal, State, Federal, and NIGC regulations.
  • Selects, hires, trains, evaluates, terminates, and recommends salary increases for staff.
  • Creates, implements and assesses training programs.
  • Responsible for preparing and monitoring Marketing budget
  • Ensure control/protection of company assets.
  • Work nights, weekends and holidays as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Exceptional guest service skills required.
  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university; and/or four years directly related experience in casino marketing or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  • Creativity, excellent writing and editing skills and expertise in advertising required.
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate in a group setting; public speaking experience preferred.
  • Event & Entertainment planning experience required.
  • Strong public relations background preferred.
  • Must be highly creative and have an eye for detail. Copy writing experience is a must.
  • Demonstrated experience determining market trends, competition, potential markets, and recommending methods to expand and develop marketing operations within the gaming industry.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing, organizing, and completing projects within budget and time constraints. Proven problem-solving, organizational and multitasking skills are essential.
  • Skill in identifying and resolving administrative problems under pressure conditions. Ability to work well with multiple projects under tight deadlines in a professional manner and in an unsupervised atmosphere.
  • Must be guest service oriented and have excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to maintain professional, courteous, and effective working relationships with all levels of the organization and outside business contacts.
  • Ability to travel locally and occasionally out of state.
  • Must be able to be insured according to our driving insurance policy.

Certificates, Licenses, Regulations

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Class A/3 gaming license from the Stillaguamish Tribal Gaming Agency and Washington state.
  • Must have a valid Washington state driver’s license.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Constantly requires the ability to receive detailed information through oral and written communication. The position requires exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Requires repetitive movement daily with sedentary work, occasional bending and crouching. This position requires being outside in different weather conditions for some of the events; and employee is exposed to tobacco smoke on a regular basis. This is a 24-hour, 7 day a week work operation.
