Responsibilities

  • Tracks and maintains the fixed asset ledger to include additions and retirements, depreciation calculations. Tags new additions and monitors asset disposals.
  • Reviews construction in progress projects to ensure proper classification and timely capitalization.
  • Obtains monthly inventory reports, investigates and corrects variances, enters transfers not captured in the inventory control system, and posts to the general ledger.
  • Connects with in-house departments to resolve inventory control discrepancies.
  • On an as-needed basis audits retail invoices, confirming accurate entry of inventory data.
  • Performs periodic audits of month end physical inventory counts in General Warehouse, Retail, and Food and Beverage (F&B) outlets, including samples of shelf-to-sheet and sheet-to-shelf selections for verification.
  • Assists F&B outlets with menu creation and maintenance.
  • Performs agreed-upon analysis procedures for cost savings and innovation on inventory-related operational areas with a focus on creating incremental revenue or generating cost savings. Provides margin, variance, and profitability reports.
  • Conducts return-on-investment analyses for projects and prepares reports assessing feasibility of proposed projects and recommendations.
  • Assists with implementation and internal control development resulting from accepted project recommendations.
  • Builds, maintains, and updates standard costing of products and finished goods.
  • Supports annual and periodic standard cost updates and re-costing initiatives.
  • Engages in interdepartmental collaboration to drive revenue through pricing strategies.
  • Provides management with detailed analyses of ongoing costs, forecasts, inventory control, and cost metrics.
  • Assists Accountant in monthly reconciliations as needed. Identify and correct accounting errors to ensure data integrity.
  • Supports month-end and annual close activities related to inventory, cost of goods sold, and fixed assets. Assists with asset roll-forward schedules.
  • Assists in both internal and external audit processes. Provides necessary documentation and analysis.
  • Performs other general ledger duties as assigned.
  • Work nights, weekends, and holidays, as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

  • Exceptional guest services skills required.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, five (5) years general ledger accounting/inventory control experience, five (5) years of food and beverage experience with a history of increasing responsibility or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Intermediate knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of inventory control processes and procedures.
  • Knowledge of purchase orders and invoicing documentation.
  • Understanding of automated accounting and inventory control systems.
  • Intermediate knowledge of general computer software applications including Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
  • Experience in the performance of account analysis and reconciliation functions.
  • Experience with the monitoring of data for errors and making necessary corrections.
  • History of establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with others.


Certificates, Licenses, Regulations

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Class A/3 gaming license from the Stillaguamish Tribal Gaming Agency and Washington State.


Physical Demands and Work Environment

Constantly requires the ability to receive detailed information through oral and written communication. The position requires exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Requires repetitive movement daily with sedentary work, occasional bending and crouching. There are no adverse conditions, but employee is exposed to tobacco smoke on a regular basis. This is a 24 hour, 7 days a week work operation.
