Responsibilities

  • Serves as an active, strategic leader with comprehensive marketing strategy including casino operations, retail operations and all internal and external communication.
  • Leads activities of the Marketing Department including, but not limited to, Creative, Advertising, Player Development, Player’s Club and Events & Entertainment
  • Provides regular updates and works collaboratively with the Executive Team and CEO on all projects FOH and BOH.
  • Formulates and administers the annual marketing plan based on business needs founded in analytics and market research.
  • Responsible for planning and execution of Casino marketing and advertising strategies, directs marketing events, coordinates marketing materials, manage department budget, performs market research and partners with various leaders on marketing campaigns. The intended results of these strategies are to drive growth in revenue, brand recognition, customer database and repeat visits.
  • Responsible for advertising efforts across various channels, managing the player tracking system, negotiating media buys, and maintaining strong relationships with clients, advertising agencies, and partners to increase market share and maintain a competitive position.
  • Monitors performance of marketing plans and strategies against forecasts and budgets and adjust as appropriate to execute long term and short-term goals.
  • Coordinates and produces publications and printed materials, all on-property design, including, but not limited to conceptualization, coordination and implementation of promotional posters and flyers, newsletter, indoor and outdoor signage placement, replacement and installation, brochures, advertisements, business supplies, web page design, theme window display boards, outside holiday decorations and coordination of photo shoots as needed for special projects.
  • Reviews and approves all advertising campaigns including television, radio, outdoor and print ads.
  • Oversee the work of designers, vendors, and all other contacts dictated by a project.
  • Evaluates customer play utilizing player database and develop promotions and special events to drive repeat visits.
  • Maintains an awareness of local, regional and industry market trends and conducts pertinent market analyses to develop promotions and special events to drive new customers to the property.
  • Supervises all aspects of reciprocal sponsorship relationships, trade show coordination and sponsorships. Staffing, inventory and transportation of off-site trade show events. Provides artwork, banners, literature, custom coupons and marketing representatives. Maintains relationships with sponsor representatives, working together to achieve maximum results through advertising and enhancements.
  • Works closely with CEO to implement public issues strategies by, among other things, coordinating graphic materials, presentations and casino hospitality.
  • Ensures compliance with Tribal, State, Federal, and NIGC regulations.
  • Ensures control/protection of company assets.
  • Work nights, weekends and holidays as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

  • Excellent leadership, representing our core values.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing. Ten years of experience and progressive responsibility with a broad focus in casino marketing, including strategic planning, advertising, public relations, media, design and player tracking.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to maintain effective relationships at all levels of the organization, and with the public.
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of general business administration including personnel practices and employment laws, program budgeting, general accounting, financial analysis, and fiscal management practices.
  • Ability to prepare complex reports, correspondence, charts, layouts, forms, handbooks, memoranda and other information and instructions with strong mathematical skills.
  • Must be customer service oriented and have excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to work in a challenging environment dealing with sensitive issues and maintain confidentially with strong attention to detail and excellent problem solving, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to maintain professional, courteous, and effective working relationships with all levels of the organization and outside business contacts.

 

Certificates, Licenses, Regulations

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Class A/3 Gaming License from the Stillaguamish Tribal Gaming Agency and the State of Washington.


Physical Demands and Work Environment

Constantly requires the ability to receive detailed information through oral and written communication. The position requires exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Requires repetitive movement daily with sedentary work, occasional bending and crouching. This is a 24 hour, 7 days a week work operation.
