Responsibilities

 

  • Maintain an adequate level of knowledge of operating systems and application software being used to provide high-level support to users.
  • Maintain an adequate level of knowledge of networking protocols, equipment and configurations through certifications, internal/external experience and/or company sponsored training.
  • Responsible for hardware and software installation, configuration and maintenance relating to all parts of the Information Technology infrastructure including WAN/LAN, Storage, Servers, Networking, etc.
  • Create and maintain documentation pertaining to infrastructure and systems.
  • Install, test and implement network software, hardware, and services, system administration & diagnostic tools including but not limited to IT infrastructure hardware and software.
  • Monitor the gaming network, ensuring system connectivity, through hardware and software monitoring and network redundancy and monitoring.
  • Oversee the establishment and maintenance of network user accounts in AD and Entra ID, both corporate and gaming, passwords, user environment, directories, and security.
  • Manage M365 Intune policies and application catalog
  • Analyze and report unauthorized infrastructure usage and security problems.
  • Manage the enterprise mail systems hosted in M365.
  • Help supervise and train other IT team members on assigned projects and tasks, when necessary to quickly meet deadlines.
  • Supervise and assist in downloading and applying software patches to systems.
  • Participate in team meetings, providing input and suggestions.
  • Ensure efficient and economical utilization of Information Technology equipment and resources.
  • Evaluate server needs and load balancing on systems keeping IT management informed of findings with recommendations.
  • Utilize technology to provide staff with a fast, accurate, and secure method of gaining access to information so they can service the Casino’s Guests in the fastest and most efficient manner possible.
  • Keep IT Management and team updated and informed of any issues, resolutions, projects, and accomplishments.
  • Participates in an on-call rotation.
  • Work nights, weekends and holidays as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 Qualifications

 

  • Exceptional guest service skills required.
  • Associates degree in Computer Science or related field and five (5) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in Microsoft network operating systems, Exchange server, SQL server and Remote Access Services.
  • Experience with VMWare, Vcenter and other virtualization technologies.
  • Experience with enterprise storage technologies (NAS, iSCSI, FibreChannel).
  • Experience with Active Directory and Group policy configuration required.
  • Network troubleshooting skills required.
  • Experience in Casino environment and protocols preferred.
  • Skill in effectively communicating information through oral and written correspondence to employees, managers, vendors, clients, customers, and the general public, including writing reports, business correspondence, procedural manuals and vendor relations.
  • Excellent organizational, communication and leadership skills.
  • Skill in identifying and resolving technical, relational and administrative problems under pressure conditions.

 Certificates, Licenses, Regulations

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Class A/III gaming license from the Stillaguamish Tribal Gaming Agency and Washington State.
  • CompTIA A+ certification or equivalent and/or CompTIA Network + certification or equivalent is preferred
  • Microsoft certifications (such as MCSE and MCP) preferred
  • CCNA/ASE certifications preferred

 

Physical Demands and Work Environment

 

Constantly requires the ability to receive detailed information through oral and written communication. The position requires exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Requires repetitive movement daily with sedentary work, occasional bending and crouching. This is a 24 hour, 7 days a week work operation.
