Responsibilities

  • Checks the front desk accounting records (cash, check and credit card services) for accuracy and then compiles information for the hotel’s financial records.
  • Tracks front office operating statistics such as room revenues and occupancy percentages.
  • Posts room charges and room taxes to guest accounts.
  • Run end of day process / night audit process on the Property Management software and prepares reports for management.
  • Performs duties of the Front Desk Agent and functions as the night manager on duty in the absence of hotel management and front office supervisors.
  • Maintain patience and composure, exemplifying excellent guest service with upset, angry, and/or frustrated guests using compassion and empathy to uphold hotel’s commitment to hospitality.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor and wears hotel uniform at all times.
  • Respects guest privacy and maintains confidentiality.
  • Attends all mandatory department, casino and/or training meetings.
  • Follows all department and casino policies, procedures, and regulations as required.
  • Ensures compliance with Tribal, State, Federal, and NIGC regulations.
  • Ensures control/protection of company assets as applicable.
  • Work nights, weekends and holidays as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

  • Exceptional guest service and communication skills required.
  • One year experience in customer service or hospitality; or Front Desk experience required.
  • Ability to operate front office equipment and computers.
  • Understanding of the basic principles of auditing, balancing and closing accounts.
  • Must be customer service oriented and have excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to multi-task and work independently.
  • Ability to work in a challenging environment dealing with sensitive issues and maintain confidentially with strong attention to detail and excellent problem solving, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to maintain professional, courteous, and effective working relationships with all levels of the organization and outside business contacts.
  • Proven intermediate skills in Windows, MS Office Programs (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), and experience with database systems. Ability to prepare reports, correspondence, charts, forms and other information and instructions.

 

Certificates, Licenses, Regulations

  •  Must be able to obtain and maintain a Class B gaming license from the Stillaguamish Tribal Gaming Agency.

 

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Constantly requires the ability to receive detailed information through oral and written communication.  Requires the ability to read, write, type and use basic technology. Requires standing or sitting for extended periods of time or for an entire shift. Requires to move, lift, carry push pull and place objects often weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance. This is a 24 hour, 7 days a week work operation.
