Responsibilities

  • Maintains Tasting Room merchandising to current set/standards, facing and infilling. Ensures all merchandise is properly price tagged (working with the Retail Team). Refreshes and replaces all promotional material as needed.Supports the Manager with new spirit product launches with consistent and aggressive sampling, eye catching displays, sales goals, and appropriate Team motivation/appreciation.
  • Identify, and recommend to Tasting Room Manager &/or Retail Operations Manager, ongoing, retail merchandise for clearance sale opportunity.
  • Lead staff participation in location's contribution to the next season's quarterly cocktail menu.
  • Suggests, promotes, executes and measures success of unique one-time or reoccurring HOC location events, such as Pop-Ups, Game Nights, Community & Cocktails and Artist Exhibits.
  • Develops, implements, and monitors results on new approaches to Happy Hour or Bartender Special type 1-off location cocktails.
  • Develop and maintain location's Large Group Tasting Reservation Binder. Ensure that day's reservations are ready for the day.
  • Hosts Special Guests dropping into the Tasting Room that day, ensuring Executive Authorized Transactions are processed correctly.
  • Leads staff education in annual or pop-up sales and specials.
  • Adheres to all Washington State Health and LCB regulations and guidelines.
  • Is the "critical eye" in the room to maintain the room's appearance.
  • Is proficient in ringing in all types of guest transactions in the POS.
  • Assists Manager with cut offs of patrons as needed.
  • Work nights, weekends and holidays as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Exceptional spirits knowledge required, focusing on whiskey and the distilling process.
  • 5 to 7 years' experience in the Hospitality/Food & Beverage industry or equivalent combinations of training and experience desired.
  • Must be customer service oriented and have excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to multi-task and work independently.
  • Ability to work in a challenging environment dealing with sensitive issues and maintain confidentially with strong attention to detail and excellent problem solving, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to maintain professional, courteous, and effective working relationships with all levels of the organization and outside business contacts.
  • Proven intermediate skills in Windows, MS Office Programs (Word, PowerPoint, Excel}, and experience with database systems. Ability to prepare reports, correspondence, charts, forms and other information and instructions.
  • Must be able to occasionally lift and move heavy items on a regular basis.
  • Prior cash handling experience desired.

 

Certificates, Licenses, Regulations

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Class A gaming license from the Stillaguamish Tribal Gaming Agency.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Washington State Health Card (Food Worker Card).
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Washington State Mandatory Alcohol Server Training (MAST) Class 12 Mixologist Permit.


Physical Demands and Work Environment

Constantly requires the ability to receive detailed information through oral and written communication. The position requires exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Requires repetitive movement daily with sedentary work, occasional bending and crouching. There are no adverse conditions, but employee is exposed to tobacco smoke on a regular basis. This is a 24 hour, 7 days a week work operation.
