Responsibilities

  • Has thorough knowledge and is able to prep and prepare all menu items.
  • Has thorough knowledge of prep lists and is able to fill out and complete daily if needed.
  • Preps, and maintains items for a well-stocked cooking station.
  • Is responsible for the quality of products served.
  • Able to cook at all stations in the food truck proficiently.
  • Able to work well under pressure and communicate well with all with both team members and guests.
  • Understands how to read kitchen orders and prepare products in timely manner. Works well with Kitchen in ticket timing.
  • Understands and complies consistently with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and policy and procedures.
  • Is responsible for having knowledge and understanding of all food truck equipment.
  • Maintains a clean and sanitary workstation area. Follows all food safety, sanitation, and HACCP guidelines when preparing hot and cold foods.
  • Follows proper plate presentation and garnish set up standards for all dishes.
  • Provides alcohol service within the guidelines set forth by the MAST training program.
  • Assists in all areas of food preparation and production as needed.
  • Possess the ability to operate a POS while taking orders from guests and tendering payment.
  • Operates, balances, and reconciles cash till and Point of Sales (POS).
  • Maintains confidential daily record of tips, as applicable.
  • Greets and interacts with guests in a friendly, professional, and attentive manner.
  • Opens and closes food truck by following the established opening and closing checklists.
  • May assist others by working in other kitchens include banquets and other social functions.
  • Duties, responsibilities, requirements and expectations pertaining to this job are subject to change as needed.
  • Works days, nights, weekends, special events and holidays as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

  • Exceptional guest service skills required.
  • A minimum of three years’ experience in kitchen preparation and cooking or equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience.
  • At least one year experience in a similar capacity.
  • Experience with high volume cooking helpful.
  • Must be able to work with high temperature equipment.

 

Certificates, Licenses, Regulations

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Class B gaming license from the Stillaguamish Tribal Gaming Agency.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Washington State Health Card (Food Worker Card).
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Washington State Mandatory Alcohol Server Training (MAST) Class 12 Mixologist Permit.
  • Must have a valid Washington state Driver License.

 

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Constantly requires the ability to receive detailed information through oral and written communication. The position requires exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. From time to time the position might require the lifting of full kegs of beer and moving those kegs to other areas. Requires repetitive movement with the ability to stand and/or walk for an entire shift. There are no adverse conditions, but employee is exposed to tobacco smoke on a regular basis. This is a 24 hour, 7 days a week work operation.
