Responsibilities

  • Supervise, train, and schedule Stewarding Team Members; ensure compliance with policies, safety, and HACCP guidelines.
  • Oversee daily operations of kitchen dish areas, storage areas, and bars; assist with cleaning and sanitation as needed.
  • Monitor pest control, equipment maintenance, and chemical usage; track inventory and ensure proper storage.
  • Issue, track, and ensure return of chemicals and PPE per shift.
  • Conduct regular inspections (weekly, monthly, quarterly) to maintain standards.
  • Manage banquet equipment, small wares, and silverware in conjunction with Banquet Manager; ensure items are cleaned, polished, and ready for events.
  • Support banquet team with setup and breakdown, including offsite catering and food truck events.
  • Enforce safety protocols, proper use of tools, and compliance with MSDS.
  • Complete employee appraisals, recommend disciplinary actions, and uphold training standards.
  • Attend departmental, safety, and training meetings; ensure adherence to all policies and regulations.
  • Follows all department and casino policies, procedures, and regulations as required.
  • Ensure compliance with Tribal, State, Federal, and NIGC regulations.
  • Work flexible hours (nights, weekends, holidays, extended shifts).
  • Perform all other duties as assigned


Qualifications

  • Exceptional guest service skills required.
  • Three to five years Food and Beverage operations related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Previous management experience is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership, communication decision making and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to maintain professional, courteous, and effective working relationships with all levels of the organization and outside business contacts.
  • Must be customer service oriented and have excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to multi-task and work independently.
  • Serv-safe Certification preferred, MSDS, and HACCP knowledge preferred.
  • The ability to drive large vehicles (box truck, refrigerated truck, food truck) is strongly preferred.

 

Certificates, Licenses, Regulations

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Class B gaming license from the Stillaguamish Tribal Gaming Agency.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Washington State Health Card (Food Worker Card).
  • Must have a valid Washington State Driver License.

 

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Constantly requires the ability to receive detailed information through oral and written communication. The position requires exerting and/or lifting up to 75 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 40 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Frequently requires working in walk-in refrigerators and freezers at temperatures as low as -10F. Requires repetitive movement with the ability to stand and/or walk for an entire shift. There are no adverse conditions, but employee is exposed to tobacco smoke on a regular basis. This is a 24 hour, 7 days a week work operation.
