Responsibilities
- Oversees all activities of the Security department for their shift.
- Hires and develops staff in the areas of Core Values, customer service, hospitality and policies and procedures.
- Must actively encourage and maintain a positive work environment to promote our Core Values.
- Patrols Casino premise and property to maintain order, enforce regulations, perform regulatory functions and ensure observance of applicable laws.
- Monitors the safety of guests, employees, facility and grounds.
- Reviews and approves reports for completeness and accuracy.
- Interview’s individuals while conducting investigations.
- Conducts follow up activities on incidents, accidents and investigations.
- Recommends corrective actions to the Security Manager.
- Interview’s individuals while conducting investigations.
- Warns and assists the ejection of disruptive individuals.
- Provides money escorts and chip fills as necessary.
- Verbally expresses important instructions accurately and/or quickly.
- Monitor’s evacuation activities and routes.
- Acts to prevent the sale to, or consumption of, alcoholic beverages by underage persons.
- Ensures compliance with Tribal, State, Federal, WSGC and NIGC regulations.
- Ensures control/protection of company assets.
- Must maintain confidentiality requirements.
- Work nights, weekends and holidays as required.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Exceptional guest service skills required.
- Must have ability to lead and/or delegate assigned duties in a team atmosphere.
- Must demonstrate a commitment of competency, accountability and pride in work performance.
- Skills in identifying and resolving problems under adverse conditions.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, special events and holidays as required.
Certificates, Licenses, Regulations
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Class A/3 gaming license from the Stillaguamish Tribal Gaming Agency and the State of Washington.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Mandatory Alcohol Server Training Permit.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Fist Aid/CPR/AED certification.
- Washington State Driver’s License, or a valid driver’s license from another jurisdiction.
- Must be able to be insured to drive company vehicles by the company insurance carrier.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Constantly requires the ability to receive detailed information through oral and written communication. The position requires exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Requires repetitive movement with the ability to stand and/or walk for an entire shift. Occasionally may be asked to assist wheelchairs and luggage. Employee is exposed to tobacco smoke on a regular basis. This position may be required to be outside for long periods of time and may be exposed to the outside weather.
