Responsibilities
- Provides day to day direction to Security Officers.
- Mans a post or patrols buildings, grounds, and parking areas to maintain order, enforce regulations, perform regulatory function and ensure compliance with applicable laws and rules.
- Patrols Casino premise and property to maintain order, enforce regulations, perform regulatory functions and ensure observance of applicable laws.
- Assists Security Officers in reporting and documenting information and incidents.
- Monitors the safety of guests, employees, facility and grounds.
- Assists guests and performs public relations functions.
- Reviews reports for completeness and accuracy.
- Performs the duties of the Security Shift Supervisor when assigned.
- Conducts follow up activities on incidents, accidents, and investigations.
- Acts to protect the facilities from fire, theft, burglary, and other such causes that may threaten the safety and security of the business, property, employees and guests.
- Provides input to the Security Shift Supervisor regarding corrective action.
- Directs response to medical emergencies and provides aid as necessary.
- Warns & assists the ejection of disruptive individuals.
- Assists agents of the Stillaguamish Gaming Commission as required.
- Greets guests and provides information and/or direction as requested.
- Directs crowd and/or traffic control during emergent and non-emergent situations.
- Monitor’s evacuation activities and routes.
- Interview’s individuals while conducting investigations.
- Provides money escorts and chip fills as necessary.
- Verbally expresses important instructions accurately, quickly and professionally.
- Acts to prevent the sale to, or consumption of, alcoholic beverages by underage persons.
- Ensures compliance with Tribal, State, Federal, and NIGC regulations.
- Ensures control/protection of company assets as applicable.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned by Supervisor and/or Manager.
- Must learn and assure staff is in compliance with all Company policies and procedures, National Indian Gaming Commission Rules, Washington State Gambling Commission
- Regulations, IRS Title 31 Requirements and the Stillaguamish Gaming Act.
- Works’ nights, weekends and holidays as required.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Exceptional guest service skills required.
- Experience and training in casino security or equivalent combination of education and experience pertaining to security or law enforcement that demonstrates an ability to perform the requirements of the position.
- Casino experience preferred.
- Must have ability to lead and/or delegate assigned duties in a team atmosphere.
- Ability to verbally express important instructions accurately, quickly and professionally.
- Must demonstrate a commitment of competency, accountability and pride in work performance.
- Must demonstrate excellent guest relations and customer service skills.
- Proven exceptional organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to interact positively with guests and employees and to solve problems.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, policies, and procedure manuals.

Certificates, Licenses, Regulations
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Class A/3 gaming license from the Stillaguamish Tribal Gaming Agency and the State of Washington.
- Washington State Driver’s License, or a valid driver’s license from another jurisdiction.
- Must be able to be insured to drive company vehicles by the company insurance carrier.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Constantly requires the ability to receive detailed information through oral and written communication. The position requires exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Requires repetitive movement with the ability to stand and/or walk for an entire shift. Occasionally may be asked to assist wheelchairs and luggage. This position may be required to be outside for long periods of time and may be exposed to the outside weather.
