Responsibilities

  • Has thorough knowledge and is able to prep and prepare all menu items.
  • Has thorough knowledge of prep lists and is able to fill out and complete daily if needed.
  • Is responsible for quality of products served.
  • Able to work well under pressure and communicate well with all FOH and BOH employees.
  • Understands and complies consistently with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and policy and procedures.
  • Maintains a clean and sanitary work station area. Follows all food safety, sanitation, and HACCP guidelines when preparing hot and cold foods.
  • Follows proper buffet presentation and garnish standards for all items.
  • Assists in all areas of food preparation and production as needed.

·         Opens and closes kitchen properly by following the established opening and closing checklists for kitchen stations.

·         Properly put away and rotate all stock items following FIFO (first-in first-out) standards.

  • Is responsible for having knowledge and understanding of all banquet kitchen equipment (combi oven, grill, fryers, blast chiller, etc.)
  • Duties, responsibilities, requirements and expectations pertaining to this job are subject to change as needed.
  • Works days, nights, weekends, special events and holidays as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications

  •         Exceptional guest service skills required.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in kitchen preparation and cooking or equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience.
  • Experience with high volume cooking helpful.
  • Must be able to work with high temperature equipment.

 

Certificates, Licenses, Regulations

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Class B gaming license from the Stillaguamish Tribal Gaming Agency.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Washington State Health Card (Food Worker Card). 

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Constantly requires the ability to receive detailed information through oral and written communication. The position requires exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. From time to time the position might require the lifting of full kegs of beer and moving those kegs to other areas. Requires repetitive movement with the ability to stand and/or walk for an entire shift. This is a 24 hour, 7 days a week work operation.
