Responsibilities

  • Provide multiple channels of consolidated, frequently updated communications to Angel Of The Winds Casino Resort team members, guests, and others. 
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure that all communications and guests experiences are consistent and on-brand
  • Responsible for keeping team members, guests, and media partners informed of daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly promotions, happenings, critical communication, exciting news, and goals. 
  • Works closely with all departments to create messaging that is timely and disseminated to those that will benefit the most.
  • Collaborate with department managers and supervisors to collect information from all departments, develop new ideas to create compelling copy and help provide strategic communications 
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive communications strategy that aligns with the company's overall goals and objectives
  • Conduct investigative research into topics related to desired content creation 
  • Be familiar with the latest trends in terminology, slang, and popular culture references
  • High comfort level operating in a very fast paced environment.
  • Point of contact for departments that need to get information out internally.
  • Write copy, proof newsletters, flyers, text messaging, websites, databases, and other media channels daily, weekly, and monthly.
  • Innovative on how information is distributed throughout the property.
  • Help create, implement, and improve standardize processes for communication internally and externally.
  • Continue to ensure information is accurate and up-to-date at all times.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to find, remove, update, and replace any non-approved signage.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Develop and implement public relations and media relations campaigns
  • Write and edit press releases, newsletters, and other marketing materials
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for media inquiries
  • Represent the company at industry events and conferences
  • Coordinate projects between creative, events, PD and other departments. 
  • Create reports on performance of project and events
  • Create and manage surveys, NPS reports and EX, BX surveys. 

 

Qualifications

  • Exceptional guest service skills required.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a four-year college or technical school; degree in Communications and two or more years related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience in marketing or sales environments. 
  • Must be customer service oriented.
  • Requires competency in customer focus, change & innovation, strategic thinking, relationship building & influencing, talent management, and results focused. 
  • Build creative and competitive communication strategies and tactics around the growing industry. 
  • Leverage the latest trends to drive de-positioning and deep storytelling opportunities. 
  • Develop rapid competitive responses to industry news.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Ability to work in a challenging environment dealing with sensitive issues and maintain confidentially with strong attention to detail and excellent problem solving, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Must have ability to multi-task and work independently.
  • Ability to maintain professional, courteous, and effective working relationships with all levels of the organization.
  • Proven intermediate skills in Windows, MS Office Programs (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), and experience with database systems. Ability to prepare reports, correspondence, charts, forms, and other information and instructions.


Certificates, Licenses, Regulations

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Class A gaming license from the Stillaguamish Tribal Gaming Agency.

 

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Constantly requires the ability to receive detailed information through oral and written communication. The position requires exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Requires repetitive movement daily with sedentary work, occasional bending and crouching. May be asked to do local travel to seminars and/or off site events. There are no adverse conditions, but employee is exposed to tobacco smoke on a regular basis.  This is a 24 hour, 7 days a week work operation.
