Responsibilities

  • Greets and interacts with guests in a friendly, professional, polished, and attentive manner consistent with AAA 4-Diamond service standards.
  • Escorts guests to restaurant tables and presents them with clean menus.
  • Assists managers with organization of station planning and dining room assignments.
  • Takes guest names for waiting lists and accurately communicates wait times.
  • Calmly and professionally handles guest concerns regarding wait times or reservations and escalates issues to management when appropriate.
  • Maintains general knowledge of menus, specials, cocktails, wine, and whiskey offerings.
  • Responds professionally to guest inquiries regarding menu offerings, specials, cocktails, wine, and whiskey selections, directing guests to servers or bartenders for detailed recommendations when needed.
  • Observes tables and keeps track of clean, dirty, and occupied tables to support dining room flow.
  • Maintains awareness of the overall guest experience and anticipates guest needs through observation and visual cues to support an elevated dining atmosphere.
  • Ensures the entryway, host stand, and menus consistently reflect the cleanliness, organization, and presentation standards expected in a luxury dining environment.
  • Ensures all workstations are stocked, neat, clean, and sanitary.
  • Answers phones and assists with reservations professionally and accurately.
  • Maintains strict adherence to high-standard dress code and impeccable personal hygiene expectations.
  • Follows all food safety and sanitation guidelines as applicable.
  • Works collaboratively with servers, bartenders, leadership, and support staff to maintain seamless service flow and a AAA 4-Diamond guest experience.
  • Works days, nights, weekends, special events, and holidays as needed. 
  • Work nights, weekends and holidays as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

  • Exceptional guest service skills required.
  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Ability to maintain professional, courteous, and effective working relationships with all levels of the organization and outside business contacts.
  • Must be customer service oriented and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to multi-task and work independently.
  • Ability to remain calm, polished, and organized in a fast-paced, high-expectation dining environment.
  • General knowledge of restaurant menus, cocktails, wine, and whiskey offerings preferred. 
  • One to three months related work experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • One to three months cash handling experience preferred. 

 

Certificates, Licenses, Regulations

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Class B gaming license from the Stillaguamish Tribal Gaming Agency.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Washington State Health Card (Food Worker Card).
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Washington State Mandatory Alcohol Server Training (MAST) Class 12/13 Mixologist Permit. 

 

Physical Demands and Work Environment
Constantly requires the ability to receive detailed information through oral and written communication. The position requires exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Requires repetitive movement daily with sedentary work, occasional bending and crouching. There are no adverse conditions, but employee is exposed to tobacco smoke on a regular basis. This is a 24 hour, 7 days a week work operation.
